Posted On 08/21/2011 20:55:01 by GrapevineTravelAdventures
Imagine riding a horse through snow on a warm sunny day in August.  This may sound like an impossible contradiction, but I did just that on a high country pack trip with Icicle Outfitters & Guides of Washington State.

Icicle Outfitters offers everything from day rides near Leavenworth and at Lake Wenatchee State Park, to drop camps where they pack in gear for hikers or hunters, to full service pack trips.  In the winter they even have sleigh rides.

HR 1981 Protecting Children From Internet Pornographers Act of 2011
As a website operator I take issue with this new bill.  Under the guise of outing "UNREGISTERED SEX OFFENDERS" I must not only hand over the history of my members but I have to maintain backups for 18 months.
Well let me tell you I will provide you with the same level of assistance that you provided me with then: 1.  I had an internet stalker. 2.  I was being click bombed by Amazon.com Elastic C... Read More

Posted On 07/14/2011 16:58:14 by ForumPoster
For months I have watched with interest the Righthaven LLC lawsuits proceed through the Federal Courts.

Today Federal Judge Roger Hunt fined Righthaven LLC $5,000.00 for misleading the Federal Court.  You can read the full article by Steven Green of Vegas Inc. below.

But one thing I have always wondered about but have found no articles on is that Steven Gibson the lawyer who started Righthaven LLC is employeed full time with the firm of Dickinson Wright in their Las Ve... Read More

Minnesota running out of cigarettes & beer.

I wonder how many of the elected officials in Minnesota will ever be elected to office again after the Government shutdown.

I also wonder how much money Minnesota will loose with it's citizens having to cross into the neighboring stats to purchase beer & cigarettes.

Just more stupid elected officials who have not a lick of common sense,  I wonder what they were doing when god has handing out common sense ?... Read More

One small ship cruise line goes under.  Most people would have seen their ships as fodder for the scrap yard.  Dan Blanchard of American Safari Cruises saw them as the means to start a new company.  With the complete overhaul of two ships formerly of Glacier Bay, InnerSea Discoverieswas born, a small-ship cruise line with a taste for adventure and exploration of wild places.   The first time I saw the Wilderness Discoverer she sat high and dry in a shipyard in Seattle. Planning a Vacation to Australia
Posted On 05/29/2011 19:35:58 by GrapevineTravelAdventures
Before heading across the ocean for a vacation to Australia, many questions need answers.  Start with the flight.  What matters most, price, length of the journey, or stops along the way? Research flights to find the one best suited.  If price matters most, the cheapest flights often stop several times and take well over 20 hours from start to finish.  The most direct flights may take as little as 14 – 16 hours, but could cost quite a lot.
