My Frugal Friday Tip..

Stockpile staples when prices are low or items are on sale.

Buy generic brands.

Do not waste you money on things like "Lunchables",  if your kids ask for these take them to the dollar store and purchase a container.  Teach tem how to make there own "Lunchables" with the ingredients they pick out.

We purchased a 23 pound turkey although we only needed a 15 pound one.  We now have turkey soup,  turkey salad,  and sliced turkey for leftovers.

Homesteading to me is a way to become self reliant and not become reliant on anyone else or the government.

I have take various steaps to make this happen for my family.

1. Learning to cook from scratch.

2. Learning to sew.

3. Not using disposable products.

4. Learning how to repair items.
