Our Justice System Is Broken
OFFLINE

Please tell me "why is our justice system" so broken.

This week in La Jolla,  Ca Michael Judge Smyth sentenced Lisa Hench to 2 years in "Local Custody" for the abuse of 8 children.

Judge Smyth also noted that with "Good Behavior" approx. 1/2 of the sentence would be knocked off.

Judge Smyth also stated that Lisa Hench could serve her sentence on a work furlough so she could go to work every day and spend the night in jail.

I have never heard of a sentence of 2 years allowed to be served in "Local Custody", the normal procedure is that sentences over 1 year are to be served in the State Prison System.  Why is Lisa Hench being special treatment ?

Is Judge Smyth allowing Lisa Hench to have a work furlough because she is a "Prominent Local Real Estate Agent" ?  Why is Lisa Hench being special treatment ?
